Meet Meggan SullivanFounder & Managing Attorney

Meggan Sullivan, healthcare fraud defense attorney

Healthcare providers dedicate their lives to caring for others. They build practices, create jobs, serve patients, and invest years into earning the trust of their communities. Yet a single audit, government investigation, healthcare fraud allegation, licensing issue, employment dispute, or regulatory enforcement action can place everything they have worked to build at risk.

That reality is why I founded this firm.

For more than twenty years, I have represented individuals and businesses facing some of the most serious challenges the federal government can bring. My career began in federal criminal defense, where I learned firsthand how government investigations are built, how regulatory agencies operate, and how quickly a successful career or business can be threatened by an audit, subpoena, investigation, or indictment.

Over time, I found myself increasingly drawn to the healthcare industry. I represented healthcare providers, studied the complex regulatory framework governing modern medicine, and developed a deep appreciation for the unique challenges physicians, nurse practitioners, healthcare executives, and practice owners face every day. I came to understand that most healthcare providers are not simply trying to avoid legal problems—they are trying to build something meaningful. They are creating practices, employing staff, serving patients, supporting families, and strengthening their communities.

What I also learned is that small and mid-sized healthcare organizations often find themselves caught in a difficult position. Large healthcare systems can afford teams of lawyers, compliance officers, consultants, and risk managers. Independent practices and growing healthcare businesses often cannot. Yet they face many of the same regulatory requirements, compliance obligations, and government scrutiny.

I founded this firm to change that.

My vision was to create a healthcare law firm that provides small and mid-sized healthcare businesses with the same level of strategic protection, sophisticated legal counsel, and proactive guidance traditionally available only to large organizations. A firm that helps clients build strong foundations, grow confidently, navigate healthcare compliance requirements, avoid becoming targets of government investigations, and defend themselves when challenges arise.
Because healthcare providers should not have to wait until they receive a target letter, subpoena, DEA inquiry, licensing complaint, or healthcare fraud investigation to have experienced counsel on their side.

They deserve trusted advisors who help them build, grow, protect, and defend their businesses every step of the way.

That vision continues to guide our firm today.

Most law firms enter the picture after a problem has already occurred. I believed healthcare providers deserved something different—a law firm that could help them build, grow, protect, and defend their businesses throughout every stage of the healthcare lifecycle.

Because healthcare providers need protection long before they need a defense lawyer.

Throughout my career, I repeatedly saw physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and healthcare business owners struggling to find legal counsel that truly understood healthcare. They often found themselves choosing between large law firms with enormous overhead and impersonal service or general practitioners who lacked a deep understanding of the healthcare industry.

Small and mid-sized healthcare organizations deserve better.

They deserve experienced legal counsel who understands medicine, understands business, understands government enforcement, and can provide practical legal solutions at a cost that makes sense for growing healthcare organizations.

That belief became the foundation of this firm.

Today, we serve as trusted legal counsel to physicians, medical practices, surgery centers, home health agencies, behavioral health providers, nurse practitioners, healthcare entrepreneurs, and healthcare businesses across the country. Our mission is simple: help healthcare organizations build successful businesses, grow with confidence, protect what they have created, and defend them when their reputation, license, or freedom is threatened.

Whether you are launching a new practice, expanding into new markets, implementing a healthcare compliance program, responding to a government investigation, protecting your professional license, or defending your reputation in court, our mission remains the same:

To help healthcare providers build, grow, protect, and defend everything they have worked so hard to create.
